The new amp and effects rig is based around a TC Electronics G system and an ENGL Ritchie Blackmore head.
The G system is wired so that the pre amp type effects (compressor, wah, octaver etc) are sent to the amps input and the time based effects (chorus, flanger, delay) are sent to the amps effect loop. The G system also changes the 4 channels of the amp and turns the pedals on and off which are mounted in the rack.

This is the Pedal shelf in the rack which includes an Ibanez TS9 overdrive, Homebrew Electronics UFO octave fuzz, an Ibanez TS10 which is set as a gain/sustain boost for lead and a Jim Dunlop Uni-vibe, these pedals can be turned on or off via the G system floor controller.

The ENGL amps!!

Yes as you can see i love the sound of engl amplifiers! I have a Ritchie Blackmore signature 100 head on a 2x12 horizontal cabinet loaded with Celestion vintage 30 speakers, a Thunder 50 reverb combo also with a vintage 30 speaker and also a Screamer 50 combo amp. Never tried running it all together but im sure it would sound cool!

The Elvidge Custom guitars!!

These two guitars were hand made for me over the last two years by a Leeds Based Guitar builder called Dennis Elvidge and are the only guitars i have played live since!!

The latest one (on the left) has a high quility quilt maple top and mahogany back and glued in mahogany neck and is fitted with two Wizard humbucking pickups. The neck profile on this guitar is very much like the neck off a '59 Les Paul (thick) and also has a shorter scale length like a les paul. Even Dennis himself didnt want to part with this guitar and i remember him saying something like "The only thing i would like to change about this guitar is to put my name bigger on it".

The  guitar on the right Has a flame maple top with a mahogany back and glued in mahogany neck, Pickups are Seymour duncan and tremolo is a Wilkinson. Both guitars have Gold Schaller locking machine heads.

I was very much involved with the design of both guitars and had input all the way through the building process, i remember them both when they were nothing more than pieces of wood on Dennis's floor!! Best guitars i've ever had, Cheers Den.

The Les Pauls!!

My 3 Les Pauls. A custom shop flame top les paul (only 2 in the world in this purple finish) this guitar was made as a showcase edition for a trade show.

A '57 reissue gold top, Seymour Duncan JB on bridge position.

1994 Les Paul STD that was previously owned by Paul Banks from the band Shed Seven, i have removed the Bigsby tremolo, pick guard and pickup covers and also slightly aged the finish, looks very much like a '59 Les Paul now.

Gibson '67 reissue flying v, I have added a Vibrola tremolo system, Seymour Duncan JB bridge humbucker, pickup surrounds, Grover machineheads and a prototype Gibson headstock logo to make it look pretty much identical to the one Andy Powell from Wishbone Ash plays.

1998 Gibson ES335 dot reissue, Cherry red.

Fender USA Deluxe strat with S1 switching.

Musicman Silhouette modified with a Wilkinson tremolo.

Orfeus acoustic, Gibson humbucker fitted and set up for slide.
